Kyle Rouse
Graduate Assistant

Kyle Rouse is a Graduate Assistant in the Research and Writing Development Center within the EdD, Learning and Organizational Change Program. Kyle's research focuses on religious traditions and ritual practices represented in ancient Near Eastern texts. Kyle's dissertation investigates the similarities between patterns of ritual prescriptions in texts from ancient Ugarit and the Hebrew Bible.
He has published articles with Religious Studies Review, Textual Criticism (with Michelle Hunt), and The Journal of Biblical Literature. Kyle has a B.A. in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Biblical languages (Moody Bible Institute), an M.Div. (Grand Rapids Theological Seminary), a Th.M. in Hebrew Bible (Grand Rapids Theological Seminary), and he is a Ph.D. Candidate in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible (Baylor University, Department of Religion).
In his spare time, Kyle likes to spend time with his family, eat good food, and read science fiction.
